Shakugan no Shana Fanart
5/6/15 | 0 Comments | Top

Who would have thought I would be drawing a fanart?

I usually don't draw fanarts because 1. I don't have confidence on my drawing and 2. I am so scared to destroy the characters. And so, I took up a challenge and told myself,

"Let's draw Shana!"

But no. This was a request from a friend. And it's because I am a good friend, I can never say no, can I? And so, I prayed,

"Noizi Ito, I'm sorry for I destroyed your Shana illustration."

I didn't plan on coloring this piece. I mean, I (seriously) suck at coloring art traditionally and I only do it with posters with pastels during high school and that was the end of it. But there was this event I went into and found these artists drawing live and I felt so inspired all of the sudden (I remember that feeling when my fingers were itching to draw and color on my way back home).

There's this one artist with a really cute drawing style and uses color pencils on coloring her works and I really liked it so why not try it myself?

I did some color pencil stuff before, it was when I was still in College, I think. And I only did it because I wanted to try coloring with only three colors and... IDK if I did it successfully though.

Process is under the cut!

When I was in the mood for inking... Then when I erased the pencil parts, I just knew I ruined her.

When I was still sketching it. I planned on just having it as a sketch but... yeah, ended up inking it instead.
